Aaliyah Haughton became famous after 1994 when she debuted her first album Age isn't just an amount. At the age of 15, the album achieved Gold recognition. The group's collaboration heavily in the direction of R. Kelly's music and brought her into the spotlight. In 1996 she worked with Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland for her second album One In A Million which included the top-rated hit song If Your Girl Only Knew. Following the debut of the album Aaliyah received international recognition for her work as an R&B singer. She was a part of the martial arts legend Jet Li in the action-romance film Romeo Must Die. Her role came about after being spotted by film director Joel Silver at an awards event. In 2002, she was part of the Anne Rice-based thriller Queen of the Damned. After that, she entered the Matrix in the form of Zee on The Matrix Sequels having also performed in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. She uses Aarti Man as well as Aarti Mahumdar for her official name. Her acting career began in minor film and TV performances, but her fame was growing in the late 2000s. Her other noteworthy works include Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. Commercials for her show have included major brands, such as Volvo. The mother of her daughter is a resident of Los Angeles and is pursuing acting.
