Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder gave her the name of her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father as well as Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's parents also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. She is also half-sister to Sunyata Jubal. Her older sister is Uria. Ryder's parents relocated her and her siblings to Mendocino County California when Ryder turned seven. They didn't have electricity. Ryder became an avid book reader because there was no TV. When she turned 12 Ryder enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. In 1986, she got her first major-screen appearance in the movie Lucas she was only fifteen years old. Ryder was bullied throughout high school. Her performing career, she thought to help, could have helped her. However, the plan didn't pan out. However, she pushed on with her dream. Her biggest break occurred in the year 1988, when Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue playing roles that were successful in a variety of films. In 1993, she was awarded an Oscar Award to be awarded for The Age of Innocence.
