Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. She currently holds the position as president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA's majority owners. Buss is a native of California and grew up as an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon and later owner of Lakers and other enterprises. Their relationship ended in 1972 which made her feel that she was emotionally neglected. When she was 19 years old, she was appointed the General Manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She was director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice president of the Lakers. Buss was the father of her deceased father in 2013, as did the Lakers were inherited from him by her as well as five of her siblings through an inheritance trust. Each sibling had an equal number of votes. She assumed the office as head of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss runs Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles the organization which is a pro-wrestling organization.
