Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh is an Indian actor, born on October 17, 1992. Her movies are mostly in Tamil or Telugu and Telugu, however, she is in some Malayalam films. The actress was awarded the National Film Awards' Best Actress award for portraying Savitri the actress in the Telugu Film Mahanati (2018). There were three SIIMA Awards were also given to her. She also received an Filmfare Award South. Keerthy is the daughter of filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her early career was as a children's actress. Later, after studying fashion design, she re-entered acting. She was the role of lead actress in Geethaanjali which was a film in Malayalam. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). In the year 2015, Keerthy accepted her first films outside of Malayalam and was signed to appear in several Tamil films simultaneously. The film she released was her debut, A. L. Vijay's romance comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015 alongside Vikram Prbhu. The film did not turn out to be successful at the box-office. In order to accommodate bigger projects because of her busy schedule, she was forced to opt from a few films which she started to work on. This included Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye (a romantic comedy) as well as Deekay's Kavalaivendam. This meant that she was also involved in two projects, Rajini Murugan followed by Remo featuring Sivakarthikeyan. Dhanush also played her role as Thodari for Prabhu Solomon's Thodari. But, the movie has been delayed since 2015, with speculation of a release date after September in 2020, under the new title Janakitho Nenu. In the year 2016, Nenu Sailaja, starring Ram Pothineni, was her debut. Keerthy made her debut on screen in Bairavaa (directed by Bharathan) alongside actor Vijay.
